WORKSHOP

In 2005 Workshop, basic rules of shooting a movie have been taught in two groups which both had ten participants. Afterwards for 2-3 days, participants had a chance to practice; the location was the streets of Ankara. They were also maintained equipment for shooting and for the montage. In the end, the films which were successfully made in a short period of time and a strong team soul of the directors, participants, the festival group and the audience was the satisfying result. And no doubt, friendships were the unforgettable memories.

The 2006 Workshop

a.    How to Shoot a Film  ("FNC")

Workshop is a 5 day activity that teaches participants the basic rules of using the camera, sound system, editing, and some basic information about light system. This year, in workshop, directors David Burmeister and Alexander Roch will lead four groups by the help of a simultaneous translator. It is necessary to register on internet and pay the fee after being accepted. Dates for payment will be announced. Our participant quota is limited to 40 people. Each group will contain 10 participants.

Optionally, participants who had “How To Shoot a Film” course on Saturday or Sunday can be a part of Ankara Culture Hunt on the following three days.

b. Ankara Culture Hunt   ("AKA")

This is the second stage of our activity. There will be groups of 3 or 4 people and lead by the festival directors. The films will be shot in between 1 and 4 days, on the streets of Ankara, depending on the choice of the team. The technical equipments will be provided by festival organizers. Right after the shooting procedure, groups will finish editing and deliver their projects to the responsible person.

By the end of this short but tiring activity, the participants will have been a part of a short film project and they will have had the opportunity of working with the directors.

All the work will be shown at the next festival as a one full session.

To be a part of the ‘Ankara Culture Hunt’, it is mandatory to attend the ‘How To Shoot a Film’ Course.
